November 11, 2018 - The last day on the road

This will be my last entry for a while. I'm not sure when I'll head on the road again. Looking back, there were some distinct highlights that I would do again - the kayaking tour was awesome; scrambling Tabor Canyon was really fun; and we had some good snorkelling, but I am not cut out for days of relaxing on a beach, or staying in ex-pat communities outside of small Mexican towns. I'd rather stay in a town than outside it, and experience the vibe of the town.

I will also not forget my phrasebook at home again.

We woke up early and began the day in the hotel exercise room. I did my tai chi, ran on the treadmill (I can't believe people find this fun), and did a bit more exercise before hopping into the hot tub. At the airport, we grabbed a late breakfast (none of us were hungry til then), and waited for our flight.

Flying over the Rockies, I saw Ken really come alive, as he hopped to the seat behind me and began pointing out mountains, and sharing bits of information (Val skied from the top of that mountain, while all of the rest of us started skiing from about halfway down). Further North, we got a clear view of Mount Robson - Ken noted that this would be a fantastic summit day. We then followed the Robson valley and Fraser River to Prince George.
Robson and Resplendent in the sun.

Robson casting a shadow. It looks like it might reach Rearguard.

Now, it's time to settle back into life in Prince George, where Ken and I are finally at comfortable temperatures again, while Anita is shivering.
